I have something called Safari Speed App (with the space between the words, there is a different program which omits that space) which empties Safari caches, history and logs but I cannot find it on line any longer. I wondered if there is an Intel Mac version of this program. Mine clearly says Power PC, and did not work on my daughter's new MacBook.

Try it, it might work.
Otherwise, just go to the ~/Library/Safari and ~/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the obvious candidates.

You could just use an AppleScript.

tell application "Safari"
quit
end tell
tell application "Finder"
if (exists item "OSX-60:Users:bob:Library:Caches:Safari") then
delete item "OSX-60:Users:bob:Library:Caches:Safari"
end if

end tell
======================

Add the lines for the History and Logs.
Save as an Application. Drag it to your Dock.
Click that icon when you want to quit Safari. It will quit and trash those files.

That script idea worked. Thank you.
