Hi, i just bought my first mac - macbook pro 17". I think its great. I do have an issue with burning of cd's/dvds. I've researched this as much as i can and was hoping someone might clarify some things.

is it correct that i can only 'append' a cd-r? not even dvd-/+rw or cd-/+rw's?

Someone said this is a software isssue - does that mean there will be updates later to alter this?

i find appending a cd-r using disk utility quite long winded. would toast or other software offer an easier alternative?

thanks for your help

Toast is by far the easiest way to do it.

on a side note, I dont like wasting CD's as I transfer LOADS of small amounts of data around with me, I find a 1 gig USB pen a much faster and efficient way of doing things.:D
