phpcalendar error/ and site down

So I'm playing with phpcalendar, and get an error
Unable to write to cache directory. Please check your config.
[What does this mean?]

The calendar "./calendars/Home.ics" was being processed when this error occurred.

Please use the "Back" button to return.

But for the last week I have not been able to get to the phpcalendar site

1, anyone got a clue what this is

2, anyone else having a problem getting into the site or know why its offline??
