Switching applcations

Can the keys to switch between open applications be modified?

Under OS 9 the default keys of command + tab could be modified.

Under OSX this conflicts with Illustrator 10, command + tab keys are used as a tool modifier for Illustrator 10, I use these constantly.

Any ideas?

see www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ for keyboard maestro, which allows you to change that key combo, overriding the dock.
