I was wondering if there was any way to get toast to recognize my teac CD-R55S under X. I've upgraded to toast 5.1.1 but I can still only get toast to see the writer in 9.1.
The writer is old (4 yearsish), but I really am desperate to it working, as making an iso image and rebooting into 9.1, just to keep long file names is a little annoying ;)
any help is very greatfully recieved. later!

bazil,
with the CDRW on, launch /Applications/Utilities/Apple System Profiler.app

i've already done that, and the system does recognize the drive correctly. the report it gives of my teac being:
IOSCSIParallelDevice
SCSI Product Name CD-R55S
SCSI Target 1
SCSI Product Revision 1.0J
SCSI Vendor Name TEAC
Product Identification CD-R55S
Vendor Identification TEAC
which is all peachy. cept toast doesn't see it.

google got three hits on a search for [ "mac os x" CD-R55S ]
