Hi all,
Has anyone noticed that the documents you store on an OSX Server shared Volume do not display their application icons?
For example I create a Bbedit document on my pbook, the icon appears ok with bbedit's icon preview. I then mount an OSXServer volume and place the file, it appears correct, but when I go to the server and locate the document it does not show the bbedit preview icon, instead a text like icon...Why?
This was not the case with ASIP, you did not have to have the applications installed on your server to display them correctly with their own application previews in the documents icon, then why is OSXServer different?
Can this cause problems down the road?
