Is it just me - or is every single online poker room non mac compliant
It is such a huge pain in the ass having to remotely connect to my wife's Windows machine every time I want to play online poker. HELP!

Yea, there are very few poker rooms that work on Macs
http://www.mac-poker.net lists two of the major ones that do, which have worked out great for me. Down the road I'm hoping more poker rooms will see the Mac market for what is really and make their software compliant.

pokerroom.com is the only one I know of. But you can easily play poker through virtual PC.

The best poker game I've seen for the mac would have to be Live 3D poker
http://www.live3dpoker.com/
It's pretty awesome.. besides being in beta stage.. and only a few characters to pick from..... other than that... gameplay is very very nice.... you can actually switch to 1st person view while playing poker.... I've never seen that ever before.

Finally, a problem that I can actually help with...
1st off, Welcome to the forum. You'll find the people here very helpful.
I have played online poker for cash for a couple years now and have found Pokerpages to be my favorite. The software is solid and very reliable. The interface is nice. And on top of that the people make good coversation. You can choose to play Freeplay or Cash. Both are good games.
Ok, so that site should be giving me some perks for this kind of advertisement! :)
If you wish to read about the site visit here:

If you wish to directly download the software click here:

If you decided to come over look for me "Reflect_TRUTH" and be sure to say hello.

Try www.MacPoker101.com, they got good overview of the matter, and pretty objective overview of Mac friendly sites. :D

Yep, play the Mac user only tournaments at Pacific some time (they have them once a week)... they are one of the most talkative, friendly, and fun tourneys u'll ever play ;)

The Mac users only tournament is growing constantly - it is a good sign, the more mac users floating around the more our needs will be recognized :)

My new favorite is the gamesgrid they got listed there - what a huge bonus, I'm a break even player but the bonus makes me a winner lol (sad but true  )

I notice that Mac Online Poker (http://www.mac-poker.net) now lists Full Tilt Poker - I'm loving that poker room now that it offers a Mac download version. They even host "Mac user tournaments" - it's kinda nice having other Mac fans to chat with at the tables :)

FullTilt works pretty well. I've only had a few hangs, and I suspects that was a DSL issue. I've not been playing for cash, but those as well as free games.

I see they now have AbsolutePoker listed as Mac compatible! That is very exciting news, Absolute was my favorite poker room back in my Windows days :)
