I always here people talking about how they have there dock "killed"
Can someone tell me how to do this?
In addition, can someone tell me how to revive it if I decide I don't like it?
Although I can't imagine life without the dock, I would like to try it.

I just tried to quit it through Activity Monitor, but to no avail.

Please search the forums. There are lots of threads about running without the Dock.

If hiding it is not good enough for you, you'll have to take it out of coreservices so it won't be automagically relaunched.
You need to move Dock.app someplace else, but don't delete it, it's the Real Thing, not an alias:

Search my username + "Dock". I must've posted detailed instrux at least a half-dozen times by now, including categorical rundowns of the alternative software you need to consider.
Yes, there is life without Dock. Hate the damn thing.
