hi,
I would like to know a way to convert the folder location saved im the plist files as a data type to a string type.

for example, the location of the music folder of itunes is saved as a data type.

le$ defaults read com.apple.iTunes "alis:11345:Music Folder Location" | egrep -o "[^<].*[^>]"
it returns:
00000000 012a0002 00010c4d 6163696e 746f7368 20484400 00000000 00000000 00000000 0000be03 7e63482b 00000000 00020969 694d5033 49706f64 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 0000002a aac0bef8 5fa10000 00000000 0000ffff ffff0000 09200000 00000000 00000000 00000000 000c4d61 63696e74 6f736820 48440010 00080000 be039a83 00000011 00080000 bef889d1 00000001 00000002 00164d61 63696e74 6f736820 48443a69 694d5033 49706f64 000e0014 00090069 0069004d 00500033 00490070 006f0064 000f001a 000c004d 00610063 0069006e 0074006f 00730068 00200048 00440012 00096969 4d503349 706f6400 00130001 2f00ffff 0000
