Hi all

I now have a ton of bookmarked sites in Safari, tons of email folders in Mail and loads off addresses and contacts in Address Book. I also have lot's filled out in iCal.

Question:

I want to back up my Safari bookmarks/Email folders/Address book/iCal details on a regular basis.

How do I do this, which folders/prefes etc from where do I need to back up?

Also, is there an easy way to do this each month, maybe automated?

Any backup software, once told what folders you want it to monitor, can automate backup to some degree.

The kinds of things you're looking for -- data files that a program keeps track of automatically for you -- tend to be stored in the Library folder. When those items are specific to your user, they're stored in the Library in your home folder.

If you want to back up all the things you mentioned plus all your application preferences, you can backup the entire ~/Library. If you want specifics, you can do ~/Library/Safari, ~/Library/Mail, and ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook.
