I want to record on one dvd raw footage that I captured with imovie that are about three hours long. I can not burn them directly to idvd as they are too long. I am trying to find a way to use dvd2one to shrink my video but have not been able to do it. Any suggestions?

close, but no cigar.

DVD2one is for compressing retail-style DVDs--that is properly formatted discs that can play in a DVD player (the ones with the TS_Video folder).

it wont know what to do with data just sitting in a directory.

i'd suggest using something like FreeDMG (http://www.kelleycomputing.net:16080/freedmg/) to create a segmented .dmg that you can burn across several DVDs.

aside from something like that, you'll have to compress your raw files to fit, losing quality.

Just a guess, but maybe Quicktime 7 Pro? While I haven't compared it, the H.264 codec seems to have good compression. If you can't burn it as a commercial DVD player compatible disk, you could at least get the whole thing on a DVD RAM drive that can be played on a computer.
