Hi all,
I recently setup a user with Entourage 2004 on his iMac G4 running 10.2.8. I have entourage syncing with an exchange server and it seems to slow down the entire machine whens its running (syncing or not). Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think upgrading to Panther might help speed things up?

That's not very useful advice without knowing how much he has now. So...how much memory in your machine...?

And have you looked in Activity Monitor to see what processes are using the most CPU time?

havent checked out the CPU monitor or top. The machine does have 384mb of RAM

384 should be sufficient, I do notice the same thing on mine, I sync mine up with an exchange server at work and sometimes it has to sync hundreds of messages, it takes a few minutes, but if this is dogging the whole machine just for a few messages yea i'd say something isn't right. Also it could take longer depending on network traffic and the speed of your hub. Could you provide a bit more details maybe? Your enviroment, how long does this occur, is it all the time?
