Canon claim that the Pixma IP4000R will print wirelessly from a Mac. Does anybody own one and can you confirm it works? Also has anybody tried printing from a Mac via the printers inbuilt Ethernet port?
Finally there may actually be a Canon inkjet that can be used on a Mac network.

It would be nice if this works wirelessly. I don't see any Ethernet port in the printer specs.

Maybe the USA version is different, the Australian version definitely has an Ethernet port (on the back right directly below the USB port) plus supports 802.11b / g.

From the brochure:

USB port, Wireless LAN, Wired LAN (RJ-45) and Direct Print Port (PictBridge/ Bubble Jet Direct)

I think the USA version has Ethernet as well. It's very hard to tell from Canon's web page, but an online retailer had the Ethernet spec. I downloaded manuals from the Canon site and they mentioned Ethernet as well. Price is well under $300.00 US so this looks like a good deal. I also want to know the answer to your original question:

"Is this printer any good, and does it really work well with Macs over wired or wireless networks?"
