I'm trying to get my sony ericsson T610 to call my dial up ISP,
but with no luck,

Heres what i can do:

dial numbers using "Address Book"
Sync

but when i try to connect using internet connect it shows on the phone that its dialing (but no where near long enough ,2 seconds MAX), then stops, and the ibook says:
"No carrier detected. Please check phone line connection and try again"
I've tried every script, even a generic scrip what do i do?

Are you using Ross Barkman's GPRS scripts, or just the built-in scripts that came with OS X? You need the GPRS specific scripts, and the instructions on his page should guide you through the setup.

I had the same message on my last phone, not sure what network you're on but the reason mine was having that problem (cingular) is you have to have your carrier activate data. I think it added something like $5 a month for an older non GSM phone.

Hope you get a good answer though, haven't tried my t637 yet.

What carrier do you have? Some simply don't allow dialup (AT&T) and others will activate it only on request (T-Mobile). I have no idea if this is possible with a Mac; have only done it in Windows.
