New Posts -- Some Sort of Timeout?

Every day at work (Win2K, IE 6) I load up the MacOSXHints forums and click the "New Posts" button.

I have found that if my reading gets interrupted and some time passes I can no longer go to the next page of posts. Instead I get a message something like:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

Is there some sort of timeout that causes the forum software to "forget" which posts are unread?

Yes, I think so -- the search engine has a timeout mechanism in it, and I think that's what's happening. I don't know of any workarounds for it...

Just command-click all the links to open them in new tabs, then return to the tabs later. That's how I do it...
