Is it possible to persuade a pc (with the appropriate wireless card) to see an Apple Extreme base station?
I have a friend with a PowerBook who wants broadband (ADSL) via an Apple Extreme base station. Her son, however, has a pc in a part of the house that makes network cabling pretty much impossible. Can I fit a PCI wireless card for his pc so that he can get online via the base station? Will any old wireless card do, or are there specifics that I'm unaware of?
Anyone got any experience with this? All help gratefully received.
Thanks,
BD
