Has anyone successfully achieved this?

I tried FireStarter and MissingMediaBurner, even cdrecorder from the command line and had problems. MissingMediaBurner (and cdrecorder) wouldn't burn, cdrecorder said that my drive doesn't support SAO (session-at-once?). FireStarter did work however but gave me discs that could read but gave an I/O error about half way through copying the AVI file. Seeking through seemed to work, but there was one part that looked jumpy, but I didn't watch it much. I used mkisofs to make an ISO 9660 image to keep the disc size to a minimum, turned out to be about 8 MBs less than HFS+ I think. I also tried DragonBurn, but the overburn feature didn't seem to work for me.

Anyway I'm out of ideas, I'd like to burn this disc rather than wasting a DVD on it.
