I installed 9.1 over 10.1 on the same disk, however when I try to run Classic from OS 10, it tells me that I do not have permission to run from System/Library/CoreServices. I am logged in as an admin - what gives?

OS 10.1 makes use of OS 9.2, which is usually installed first.
Why not update to OS 9.2.2 and see if a Classic System Folder shows in your Classic preferences.
Let us know how it goes.

I have had this happen before. I tried all kinds of things inside OS x to fix it. Nothing worked until I booted back into OS 9 and then switched back into 10. Then everything worked great.

If nothing works, then try this in the Terminal.app:
cd /System/Library/CoreServices
l
If you don't see this line, then something is wrong.
drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 58 Dec 8 14:18 Classic Startup.app
The important parts are the letters at the beginning and "root wheel".
Also, if you do this:
cd /
l
you should see this:
drwxr-xr-x 49 benad unknown 1622 Jan 21 16:58 System Folder
If one of these is different on your machine, reply to this message, as it happened to me once and I know what to do.
