How do I convert Quicktime.mov to .M1V

Hi,

I am using Quicktime Pro on my iMac DV SE running Mac OS 9.2.2 I want to send a .mov to my PC friends, but do not know how to accomplish this. I just received a file with the suffix .M1V which Quicktime played perfectly. I'd like to know if my .mov can be converted to this format and what comparable Mac format would be the same as the .m1v..

I'd appreciate any help you might offer me.

I've never heard of that suffix.

You could get your Windows friends to install QuickTime - it is available and many people on Windows already have it since it comes as part of iTunes.
Or you could convert the movie to an AVI format - e.g. using QuickTime Player Pro or other tools.
