Dead mount

I have a problem where if I plug my iPod into a firewire hub with multiple firewire devices (external hd, video camera, iSight, computer, and not to mention my iPod) then my iPod will never mount again! I tried connecting my iPod to other computers and it doesn't mount either after trying that. I know it can't exactly be a problem with the hub because everything else works perfect. All that happens with iPod is that it charges but doesn't mound.
