View Full Version : Finder Jaguar look for Panther
Hello to all,
Is there a way to change the finder look in Panther to look like the one in Jaguar (stripes instead of metal) ?

Look into ShapeShifter... http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/shapeshifter/
...and scour the collection of Themes...
From an article:
ShapeShifter 1.1 updates Unsanity's unique tool that allows you to change the overall appearance of your Mac using 'themes'. Users can change the overall system appearance, preview themes without applying them, install different themes for different users, and use Jaguar themes in Panther.

You might check out PantherBrushKiller (http://sveinbjorn.vefsyn.is/pantherbrushkiller)
First of all, thanks for the answers.
I have already tried PantherBrushKiller but the appearance was not the desired.
As far as themes and theme engines are concerned I looked around but I was unable to find something satisfacrory. It's not just the metal look. I want the finder to look like the one on Jaguar (stripes, transparency, icons).
Thanks for the time.

What about Demetallifizer 1.0?
Here is the screenshot:
ResExcellence notes that this theme is compatible with Panther.
Look into "Panther Aqua No Brushed" as well.

Try this (http://www.unsanity.net/beta/metallifizer-13a1.zip), although be forewarned that it's an alpha version of the Panther revision of that product. A fairly stable alpha that I've been using on my system for a while, but nevertheless, an alpha.

What about clicking on the button in the top right corner of a Finder window?
This gets rid of the metal look and takes away the sidebar.
