trying to connect my new eclipse broadband service. using alcatel speedtouch USB modem with my iMac (OSX.3). followed the installation details as per modem CD-ROM and configured the DNS settings manually in network panel of iMac. initially email and connection were working, but if i turn the computer
off, then on again later, the alcatel modem seems to have been "lost" from the iMac network control panel, and connection is impossible. why is it disappearing?! i have to install the whole thing from scratch again. any idea of what might/might not be happening?! advice much appreciated.... yours, on the verge of total distraction, terry b.
