Hi,
My problem is that when I copy a final cut express project document in the terminal - using cp or ditto - the copied file can not be read by final cut express. The file is exactly the same size as the original, and if I look at the contents of the new file with vi it is also the same, however final cut express can not open this file.
This also happens if I compress the file and then decompress it via the terminal - but not if I do so via the GUI.
Can someone tell me what is being modified in the file that is rendering it unreadable by final cut express.
I want to copy the file in the terminal so I can create scheduled backups using cron.
