install on aqua macs?

I'm a co-op student in the IT department of a highschool
I was wondering if it is possible to install os X on the aqua macs
its looks like it works but then when a log-on is tried at a later point
the screen will be messed up and the log-in screen maynot be there.
Is it something I am doing wrong?
or is it that years of kids playing around with them have just messed they up?

Moving to the System forum.

I'd guess this is referring to either Bondi or Blueberry iMacs. Both are supported systems but may require more RAM and some firmware updates to be usable with OS X.

Once we know which model and specs it should be pretty easy to advise you.
