Is there a way to find out what version of the firmware I have on my iMac ?

I'm using MacOS X Jaguar and I've looked in Apple System Profiler, but it doesn't say anything about firmware....

There's no Information under "Boot ROM Info:"?

Ohhh!! "So Boot ROM" actually means "firmware"?? Stupid me!

thanks!!

But now my problem...I can't update my firmware without having MacOS 9....I'm running MacOS 10.2 and when I wanted to update my firmware for my iMac, it says that I needed MacOS 9....anyone know how to do that??? I bought an used iMac 350Mhz that came with MacOS 10.2 already installed and I don't have the CDs for MacOS 9 :-(

You'll have to purchase Mac OS 9 CDs then.

If your boot ROM info shows 4.1.9f1, then your hardware is up-to-date, and updating would accomplish nothing.
If you're already running Jaguar, the update likely is already completed.
