Is OS 9 installed on this machine? Newer machines do not have OS 9 installed and hence you cannot start up in OS 9. (Note that "Classic" usually means running OS 9 within OS X, you don't usually talk about starting up in Classic.)
Ya its installed, when I take some old appliction OS 9 will start automatically inside OS X.

I believe that all OS X versions have this ability (to run OS 9 apps in "Classic" under OS X). But not all machines have OS 9 installed as a bootable system. I suspect your machine does not. What type of Mac is it and when did you get it? I.e. what model is it? Did it used to have OS 9 on it before you installed OS X? Or did it come with OS X already installed?
Its a new iMac machine,G4,256 Ram, 10.2 was preinstalled.
I think as you said os 9 is not installed in this machine. I will tell you my purpose, I have developed a flash game that I wann to check it in OS 9 I have only one mac machine. What to do?
