Interesting that Apple are pushing to get iPads into the classroon, yet they are not in included in the Educational discount programme.

Just a thought..

iPads don't have a discount for single sales.
The discount comes in when purchasing multipacks. iPads are sold in 10-packs, I think. $20 or so off on each iPad
At least - in the US...

Schools are going to buy iPads through a bulk order negotiated with Apple's education sales department, they aren't gonig to buy them from store.apple.com.
Plus, I don't think pre-college education qualifies a buyer for an education discount from Apple's consumer sales channel. Never mind, K-12 does qualify for a discount.

You wait until you have to try and manage 100s of iPads with no VPP (Volume Purchase Programme) for Apps MacApps etc. in SMB/SME It is so hard...The AppleID system/restrictions has fundamental flaws as it was not made for task and causes huge headaches. I am there ! I know !

We get small discounts on orders usually in the 5%-15% in business. Not working in EDU so cannot comment on that side.
