View Full Version : what is alloc class NVDANV10HAL ?
Hi all,
When I looked at a startup process in a system.log, I found this
Jul 11 10:33:01 Aki mach_kernel: Couldn't alloc class "NVDANV10HAL"
I don't think I have not seen this before.
Anyway, thanks in advance.
Aki
It isn't anything to worry about. Have a look at this page (http://www.computerbits.com/archive/2003/0400/pearce0304.html) - about half way down.
Dave,
I read it in the web site. It said;
"it meant that there was no second monitor hooked up to the external monitor port."
But I have second monitor hooked up to Nvidia MX card.
Anyway, thanks.

So do I - two Iiyama monitors hooked up to a 4MX. However, if you follow the boot sequence in verbose mode this message appears prior to the secondary monitor actually displaying anything. FWIW I've always had this message appear and really don't think it's anything to worry about.
