Hi,

First, I hope I am not repeating some previous thread. At least I couldn't find a report of this error message anywhere.

The problem: I'm trying to install KDE with fink and I get this error message:

% sudo fink install bundle-kde
Password:
Information about 2645 packages read in 1 seconds.

Failed: Can't resolve dependency "cctools (>= 446-1)" for package "arts-1.1.2-2" (no matching packages/versions found)

Background information:

- I have X11 Beta 3 - XFree86 4.2.1 installed
- I have Xdarwin installed, although at the moment I can't open it (don't know why) but oroboro works.
(I suspect this must have something to do with the fact that I don't have .xinitrc file)

Assuming that I will ended up installing KDE, how can I run it full screen? I've seen several messages about it but the advices seem to be somehow contradictory.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

You need to install Apple December 2002 Developer Tools.

Also, Apple´s X11 v.0.3 doesn´t support fullscreen-mode. You can use KDE with Apple´s X11 in rootless-mode.

After installing Apple´s X11 v0.3 your installation of XDarwin, probably broke down. If you delete your Apple X11 installation and install with Fink XDarwin (the xfree86 packages) again and then install KDE, it will work also fullscreen as XDarwin supports fullscreen-mode.
