Unable to print envelopes created in MS Word X

Setup: iMac 700 G3, OSX 10.2.4, 512MB Ram, Epson C80.

Suddenly I am unable to print envelopes I have created using Word X. When I go to File/Print everything seems normal, but apart from the LED on the printer blinking once, nothing happens.

When I open Print Center it shows printing stopped, and when I open printing it shows "no jobs".

I have installed Print Center Repair, but nothing changed.

I would be grateful for any advice on this problem, thank you.

so... can you print things other than envelopes? or NOTHING prints?

The place to start is 100% where jdhorner said.

Then you can try going to the 'Error Handling' section of the Print window (from the second select bar) and select Print detailed report and see if that will shed any light on the problem.

Check each font. If one of the fonts you used is a bitmapped font, then it will not print from Word to a postscript printer nor to PDF. It may, or may not, print to an ink jet. This is a very frustrating situation, but I have never found a solution except to eliminate usage of these fonts in Word. They work fine in all other apps as far as I can tell. If the font file names have a number following them (in the /System/Fonts or other such directory) they are bit-mapped.

The symptoms are exactly as you describe.
