I just got my wife an iPad, but she doesn’t have a computer. I set it up for her on my Mac, but I used my Apple ID. Is there an easy way to get her an ID and switch the iPad to it? Will we then be able to share music? Will she be able to back up on my machine?

Open the Settings app and select Store onthe left. Tap on your Apple ID, then select Sign Out. There will now be a Sign In button and tapping that will present an option to create a new Apple ID. I'm guessing you'll need to do that last step when you have an Internet connection.

Will we then be able to share music?
I'm not sure about this part. For one, do you mean music bought through iTunes with your Apple ID? I imagine there's a way simply because an Apple ID can be used on a number of devices. If you're talking about music that you've ripped from CDs, that shouldn't be a problem, too, I'd think.

And backups to your Mac shouldn't be a problem. I do this for my 90-year-old neighbor on occasion, and there's never been an issue.
