Hello,
I had a MacBook pro, 13", with 10.6.4 and tried update to 10.6.5.
After the process, after the reboot, in about this Mac, still have 10.6.4...
First update with combo... after that, from software update, still tell me thar had 10.6.5 to update... i made it again, still reboot, still 10.6.4.
Made another combo update, still the same...
What's happen?
How can i resolve the problem?
Thans

From which web page did you get that "combo" ?
Was it a .dmg file or .pkg bundle ?
As of 10PM EST, Apple has not posted an official 10.6.5 combo update.
WHOOPS THERE (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1324) IT IS !!!

After using Software Update to move to 10.6.5 my external USB drive was mounted 'read only'. An unmount and mount fixed that.

Don't trust links from arbitrary posters on websites. Get your system updates from Apple. (Hint: Apple doesn't post packages...only disk images)

Thanks for the advice...
But Apple Insider usually was a good source of information! And i don't understand why the software update didn't overwrite the old one!
Thanks, anyway...

Information: yes. System software: no. (esp. pre-release developer versions that the average user really, really doesn't want. It's called "bleeding-edge" for a reason)
