Quicktime unexpectedly quits every time i try to open it.

I have a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC g5
Running 10.4.11
My problem is this:
Every time i try to open Quicktime ( version 7.6.4 ) it just displays the "The application Quicktime Player quit unexpectedly." window.
I have trawled the forums and google and found nothing. Also, when i try and play a video in itunes it quits unexpectedly, similarly, and the same happens with safari. I think this i because they are all trying to access the same corrupt/inexistent/broken file.

The following line from those crash logs:
image not found /System/Library/Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Foundation
is likely indicative of the problem. It is saying that one of the essential system files is not found.
If this is true, then you likely need to do an "archive & install" of OS X from the Install CD/DVD (being sure to check the option to preserve users).

But before doing this, you should do "Repair Disk" (different from "Repair Disk Permissions"!) in Disk Utility when booted from the Install CD/DVD. I.e. you restart from the Install CD/DVD, then run the version of Disk Utility that is available from one of the menus there (in 10.4.x, it's the Utilities menu), then go to the First Aid tab, select your boot drive, and click "Repair Disk" (NOT Repair Disk Permissions). If Repair Disk finds any errors at all, repeat the repair until no errors are found.

and it did repair some parts
but didnt fix problem

Check if you have the file "/System/Library/Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Foundation" that is being referred to in the message.
If you don't have it, then I don't see any alternative to doing a reinstall.
Note that you can usually get the Install CD/DVD for older versions of OS X quite cheaply on eBay. Be sure to get the "retail" version, not the version that came with some specific Mac model.
