When I try to follow the advice given in the referenced article the Preferences listed under netbeans on the apple menu (above the netbeans menu) it is grayed out. When i look for preferences uner the netbeans menus i.e. File Edit ... I can not find any thing called preferences.
after I installed Java 1.4.1 nothing worked so I used the suggestion for compatability to use Java 1.3.1 and JBuilder6 now works as does netbeans. Maybe this has something to do with this.
