please excuse my ignorance but is the SIM card also the storage card or is that else where inside? my question is can you upgrade your storage but replacing the SIM card with a larger one? what else needs to be done?

thanks

SIM stands for Subscriber Identity Module. It's purpose is to identify the phone user to the service provider. The storage capacity of the iPhone is separate from this, and, yes, the memory is stored inside the phone. I have no idea if it could be upgraded by a user – I doubt it since I've heard nothing of this in the two years there have been iPhones – but doing so would definitely void the warranty.

Naoh is correct, you will have to find a VAR that can do it for you w/o voiding your warranty..
