Ack. :D
Seems that there is an implementation out there in the wilds of the internet here (MusicBrainz.org (http://www.musicbrainz.org)) that will analyze MP3s on file and calculate a digital fingerprint for each song, and compare it to a centralized database. Each song has a unique fingerprint and thus can be identified.
Thing is there's a client out their for Windoze and then there's a Java Alpha Client (http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=1679442&forum_id=9973)
So how do i get it to work using Java? As I understand it, MacOS X has a very good implementation of Java. So I should be able to run it. But how?
thx!
